Realistic Fiction

Everything must be consistent with the real world in speech, behavior, gender and other elements.  We want to avoid stereotypes.  RF will take tough and sensitive topics and help readers by sharing a story of how that character dealt with the problems.  The topics must be able to connect to readers and be believable.  Themes should emerge slowly throughout the book and in fact could have more than one in the story and should not be preachy.  Realistic fiction if done correctly could become historical fiction as it is no longer contemporary.
